How many pageants have you previously competed in?
I have actually never competed in pageants before! I did theatre growing
up and moved into doing some TV acting in highschool so I have always
loved the lights and camera. As a young girl I was a dancer and then
played sports and as I became older I ran Varsity Cross Country and
played Lacrosse in High School. I have always loved the spotlight though
and that is why I am drawn to participating in the Miss USA organization
and pageantry. But just because it is my first pageant isn’t to say I am not
confident and extremely excited, I know it is going to be an experience of
a lifetime!
● What made you decide to compete in Miss Alabama USA 2020?
I feel as though pageants can not only reveal the outer beauty of young
women but the inner as well. Since middle school I’ve had a passion for
mentoring young girls and young women. I’d love to be in a position
where I can empower them and show them that they can do anything
they put their minds to. Winning Miss Alabama means I can be someone
girls will look up to and want to learn from.
● Outside of competing in pageants, what do you like to do for fun?
Recently I have found a passion for dancing. I take classes at Auburn
University through the theatre department and it brings so much joy to me to
let loose and put my mind in a positive place before my classes.
● Give a brief bio about yourself.
I am a senior at Auburn University in marketing and am originally from
Marietta, GA. I aspire to be a “Girl Boss” in many different ways. I want to
write books, songs, and be the top marketing manager at a Fortune 500
company.
● If you win your state title, what do you hope to accomplish throughout your
reign?
I would be so amazed to win Miss Alabama because it would really
embody all of the personal and physical growth I have put into myself the
past year. I would hope to spread my joy and compassion for life to other
young women. I want to raise money for At Risk Youth Foundations in
Alabama and start Girl Life Empowerment workshops in Auburn and
Opelika.
● What is your dream job (besides being Miss USA, of course!)?
It would be a literal dream of mine to be Miss Alabama, I have done
theatre, stage, and TV acting my whole life and to be Miss Alabama would make
me overjoyed! I would say beyond a title, I would want to work in marketing for
any Fortune 500 company, and then be able to start my own non-profit.
