How many pageants have you previously competed in?
I have competed in one pageant before—Miss Wisconsin USA 2019.
What made you decide to compete in Miss Wisconsin USA 2018?
People had always told me I should model and I never quite got into it, but when the ad to apply for Miss Wisconsin USA showed up on my Instagram feed, I thought “Why not?” After being at last year’s pageant for only a couple of hours, I had met so many amazing and talented women that I decided I wanted to keep on competing.
Outside of competing in pageants, what do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, boating, snowmobiling, traveling, baking, attending Badger football games, and exercising.
Give a brief bio about yourself.
I am 21 years old, and am currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Genetics and Genomics with a certificate in Global Health. After undergrad, I plan to take a year off before going to medical school (hopefully at UW), and would like to be an Ophthalmologist.
If you win your state title, what do you hope to accomplish throughout your reign?
I would like to speak to people of all ages about listening to your body and standing up for yourself if you know something is wrong. After having recently been very sick myself, I would not have gotten the care and treatment I did without standing up for myself and saying something is wrong.
What is your dream job (besides being Miss USA, of course!)?
My dream job is to be a Comprehensive and Plastic Ophthalmologist, and hopefully, I will get to practice in rural Wisconsin.
