How many pageants have you previously competed in?
I’ve competed in 5 pageants (this year’s Miss Texas USA will be my 6th!)
Miss Magnolia 2015 (my high school pageant) - 3RU
Miss Magnolia 2016 - unplaced
Miss Texas USA 2018 - unplaced
Miss Texas USA 2019 - unplaced
Miss Heart of Texas USA 2019 - 3RU
What made you decide to compete for Miss Texas USA 2020?
I’ve always been one to dream big and I love setting high goals for myself. I enjoy the challenge because it’s huge motivation to be the best version of myself. Especially after being diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 11 years old, I faced huge hurdles in life that made me feel worthless because I felt less than “normal”, and I’ve met many others with epilepsy that feel that way too. My biggest motivation has been to prove to the world that just because you may have epilepsy, or a disability, or any struggle or challenge, that nothing can stop you from achieving your biggest goals, and that you should never settle for anything less! I hope so spread awareness for my platform and my nonprofit, the every moment counts foundation, throughout this process (and hopefully throughout my reign!)
Outside of competing in pageants, what do you like to do for fun?
I love to travel and have unique experiences. I have a goal to travel to all 50 states and so far I have made it to 13! I love finding events that are unique to a specific location and going to lots of tourist attractions to learn more about the area. I also love staying fit, so I go to the gym twice a day, once for running and once to lift! I also enjoy volunteering my time to my cause and also to other causes and events throughout my community. I believe everyone should try to volunteer at some point in their lives because the smile you can put on someone else’s face through your work is priceless! I’ve also been trying to get into modeling, so I do a few photo shoots here and there. I really cherish the family and friends I have, so I spend a lot of quality time with them as well.
Give a brief bio about yourself
I was born in Metairie, Louisiana (New Orleans Area) and my family was relocated to Magnolia, Texas in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. I graduated from Magnolia High School in 2016 and am now a senior (graduating August 2020) at Texas A&M University, majoring in business management at Mays Business School and also pursuing a minor in Geography. I am currently interning for Cisco Systems, Inc and spent this past summer in their Research Triangle Park office in North Carolina! I hope to become a successful entrepreneur in the future. I also founded a nonprofit organization, The Every Moment Counts Foundation, which works to bring awareness to epilepsy. The inspiration came from me being diagnosed with epilepsy at 11 years old and knowing nothing about it. I am very fortunate to live a fairly normal life and have been seizure free for about 4 years now, but I’ve met many others who depend on caretakers and their parents because they have seizures multiple times an hour. I want to give those people a voice and show them that they should never think less of themselves because they have seizures that may prevent them from doing certain things.

What is your dream job (besides Miss USA of course)?
My dream job is to become a successful entrepreneur and venture capitalist and to become a “shark” on Shark Tank!
