How many pageants have you previously competed in?
This year will be my second year competing for the title of Miss Wisconsin Teen USA! Last year I made top 15 which was absolutely amazing since that was my first time competing in pageantry.
What made you decide to compete in Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2020?
I started a nonprofit organization called KinderKindness which provides elementary schools with trainings and programs that are focused on kindness, self esteem and coping techniques. This year I have a couple schools in my town using my programs and trainings but I would like to expand it further. By winning the title of Miss Wisconsin Teen USA I would have to opportunity for my nonprofit to become more visible throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Outside of competing in pageants, what do you like to do for fun?
In the last couple years I found out I really enjoy doing Tai Chi. I started doing it when I was struggling from depression, it really helped put me in a better headspace. I loved doing it so much that I wanted to become certified in it, so I did! I now can go out and teach others how to calm down the mind and relax the body.
Give a brief bio about yourself.
This upcoming year I will be a senior at SPASH. For the last three years I have been a full time online and in school student. I have been taking classes that will benefit my career as a massage therapist. I am proud to say that I am graduating early from SPASH.
If you win your state title, what do you hope to accomplish throughout your reign?
If I win my state title I would want to expand my nonprofit organization, KinderKindness. By expanding it further than just my town we can help raise the awareness of kindness to others and oneself; helping to decrease the amount of harassment and bullying and increase the amount of kindness.
What is your dream job (besides being Miss USA, of course!)?
I am really happy with where I am at and what I will be doing in my future. I love that I will become certified as a massage therapist and continuing on with my nonprofit organization. I’m excited for my future and all the opportunities that come along with it!
